Job summary

G&E Real Estate Management Services Inc. seeks an Electrical Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot core electrical systems in mission-critical facilities. You will work 24/7/365 shifts to ensure reliable power, UPS, generators, and BMS support for high-availability environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in a critical environment (data center, hospital, telecom, etc).
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, schematics, and control drawings.
• Strong knowledge of UPS topologies, generators, switchgear, and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate electrical distribution, UPS, generators, ATS, and BMS to maintain optimal performance.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs using the CMMS platform.
• Lead emergency response and root‑cause analysis for power outages or equipment faults.
• Develop, review, and execute Methods of Procedure (MOPs), SOPs, and Emergency Operating Procedures.
• Enforce safety standards, including NFPA 70E, LOTO, and Arc Flash protection.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and upgrades.
• Manage load balancing, capacity planning, and redundancy (N+1, 2N).
• Troubleshoot and repair critical electrical components such as switchgear, PDUs, and battery systems.
• Assist with system upgrades, installations, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of schematics, control drawings, and equipment records.
