Job summary

Vultr is seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Design Engineer to own the design, integration and ongoing engineering support of physical security systems across new data center builds, major upgrades, and the existing site fleet. The ideal candidate is fluent in floor plans, life safety, NFPA, NEC codes, and enterprise access control and video platforms, with working knowledge of compliance frameworks (i.e.

SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53 PE controls) and IT/network integration.

Qualifications

• Fluent in floor plans, life safety and enterprise security platforms.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA and NEC codes and standards.
• Experience integrating physical security with IT networks and SOC tools.
• Ability to coordinate with architects, contractors and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and produce security design sets for access control and CCTV.
• Create architecture drawings, network diagrams and specifications.
• Enforce security standards and coordinate with project teams.
• Validate designs against VLTR standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support integration with IT infrastructure and SOC tools.
