Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to monitor and maintain critical data center infrastructure.

You will work on electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, performing rounds, troubleshooting, and rack installations to ensure 24/7 reliability. The role requires experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities, ability to work shifts up to 12 hours, and coordination with contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• High School or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience, or 5+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability and availability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
