Job summary

11:11 Systems is seeking a Data Center Operations Specialist I to join the Managed Services segment. You will work hands-on in a fast-paced data center, interfacing with customers daily and collaborating with internal teams to complete projects.

The role requires problem-solving, self-reliance, and flexibility to work rotating shifts, with opportunities to contribute to a wide range of customer environments from small to enterprise levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and/or Certification in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience required.
• Experience in a data center or tech support environment preferred.
• A+, MCSE and/or CCNA certifications preferred.
• Understanding of Unix/Linux based operating systems.
• Strong customer service attitude and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to execute multiple tasks efficiently and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technology installation, including setting up cabinets, racking equipment, and cabling devices.
• Provide on-site support for device troubleshooting, power cycles/reboots, cable testing/replacement, and media handling.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support customer requirements and projects.
• Provide on-site customer service within the data center.
• Provide on-site vendor support for maintenance, break/fix, and upgrades.
• Follow standard operating procedures and understand the data center infrastructure and tools.
• Respond to and update tickets per department procedures; turnover open issues at shift end.
• Manage inventory receipts, shipments, and facility inventory accuracy.
