Job summary

Leidos is seeking a System Administrator to support the Naval Enterprise Network (NEN) and its virtualized data centers. This role provides core services including cybersecurity, network operations, and service desk support to unify shore‑based networks and data management.

The ideal candidate has an associate or higher degree in information systems or related field with 2–4 years of hands‑on DoD experience, is US citizen, and holds DoD 8570‑M IAT II and Security+CE.

Qualifications

  • Associate or higher degree in Information Systems, Information Security, IT, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 2–4 years of experience.
  • US citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8570.01‑M: Information Assurance Manager (IAT) II; CompTIA Security+CE.
  • Hands‑on experience with DoD networks (NIPR, SIPR).
  • Ability to assist in planning and implementing data center/network upgrades.
  • Technical expertise in virtualization, operating systems, and computer hardware/software.
  • Evaluates and reports on new IT technologies to enhance operational environment.
  • Ability to provide 24x7 on‑call support.

  • Ensure effective operation of data center systems, architecture, and application availability.
  • Take escalations from monitoring teams and enforce operational security policies.
  • Analyze system alerts, track, and document incidents from detection to resolution.
  • Follow Enterprise Operations standards, procedures, and processes.
  • Work with Data Center Design to plan and support implementation of new technologies.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Lift and carry 50 lbs. up to 100 feet; lift 25 lbs. vertically with ladders.
  • Work in confined spaces, raised floors, keep noise exposure manageable; stand or sit for 8 hours.
  • Use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches) for rack mounting.
  • Normal color vision; correctable vision 20/20 or better; depth perception for ladder use; use digital test equipment such as OTDR.
  • Drive personal or corporate vehicle to on‑site locations; valid state license required.
Qualifications
  • Associate or higher degree in Information Systems, Information Security, IT, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 2–4 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Computing Technology Industry Association A+ CE Service Technician.

  • Understanding program goals and roadmaps; deliver projects on schedule.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, resolving issues and communicating status.

Pay Range: $40.00 – $43.00 per hour.
