Job summary

11:11 Systems is seeking a Data Center Operations Specialist I to join the Managed Services group in a hands-on, client-facing role. You will work within a data center to install, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure while collaborating with internal teams to fulfill customer requirements.

The role requires problem-solving, self-reliance, and the ability to manage shifts, with daily ticketing and adherence to SOPs. Strong Unix/Linux knowledge and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in data center or tech support preferred.
• Unix/Linux knowledge; able to work rotating shifts.
• Must be legally eligible to work without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technology installation: cabinets, racking, cabling.
• Provide on-site device troubleshooting and power cycling.
• Support internal teams to meet customer requirements.
• Deliver on-site customer service within the data center.
• Coordinate on-site vendor support for maintenance or upgrades.
• Document tickets and follow SOPs; update procedures when needed.
• Perform daily inventory moves, adds, changes, and audits.
• Respond to alarms and escalate issues per SLA.
• Handle data center infrastructure understanding (power, cooling, fire, security).
• Shift work as required; participate in rotation and extra shifts.
