Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Manager, Data Center to lead a skilled team in installation, maintenance, and facility support for critical infrastructure. You will guide operations in power, cooling, and monitoring systems while ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency.

The role requires 6+ years in data center/related fields and 2+ years of leadership, with strong technical knowledge and vendor collaboration. Monday–Friday with shift 3pm–Midnight EST, on-site position at Spectrum facilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center technician, electronics, network implementation, critical infrastructure, or related hands-on experience.
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or project leadership experience.
• Trade/apprenticeship training or discipline-specific licenses/certifications considered for equivalent experience alignment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, system layouts, technical drawings, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, UPS, generators, fire suppression, and monitoring/control systems.
• Knowledge of NEC, IMC, and networking communications.
• Basic mathematics and electronics knowledge; safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations to maintain safety, reliability, and efficiency of Spectrum’s network and facility systems.
• Guide and empower a team handling installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data center equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensure cabling, equipment installation, power, cooling, and environmental systems meet standards and engineering practices.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation to support compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Manage upgrades and support activities for critical infrastructure including power, HVAC, generators, fire suppression, and monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, construction, and vendors on facility projects, equipment installations, and expansions.
• Set priorities, allocate resources, resolve operational issues, and communicate risks and activities to leadership.
