UST is seeking an Onsite Data Center Operations Manager to oversee operations across multiple customer locations in the United States. You will be accountable for operational delivery, safety, workforce, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will lead Data Center Technicians, coordinate staffing and shifts, monitor tickets and SLAs, and travel between sites as needed. Strong leadership and ITSM experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 8+ years in enterprise data center or infrastructure operations.
• 3+ years leading technical teams, preferably in a data center environment.
• Experience managing multiple data center sites and SLAs/KPIs, strong ITSM knowledge.

Data Center Operations Manager

The Role

UST is searching for an experienced Onsite Data Center Operations Manager to oversee and manage data center operations across multiple customer locations in the United States. The manager will have overall responsibility for the operational delivery, performance, safety, workforce, service quality, and customer satisfaction of the onsite data center services.

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end onsite data center operations across multiple customer locations in the USA
• Manage and provide operational leadership to Data Center Technicians / Hands & Eyes resources across assigned sites
• Act as the primary operational point of contact for customer stakeholders for onsite data center services
• Ensure consistent service delivery across all locations in accordance with contractual requirements, SLAs, KPIs, SOPs, and customer standards
• Plan and manage staffing, site coverage, shifts, on-call requirements, vacation coverage, and resource utilization
• Monitor daily operations, ticket queues, work completion, backlogs, SLA compliance, and service quality
• Travel between customer data center locations within the USA as required
• Directly manage and mentor onsite Data Center Technicians / Hands & Eyes personnel
• Establish clear responsibilities and expectations for site teams
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback
• Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical and safety training
• Ensure adequate staffing and coverage across all assigned locations
• Monitor employee performance, attendance, productivity, and adherence to operational procedures
• Build a strong culture of ownership, accountability, safety, and customer service

What You Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise data center or infrastructure operations
• 3+ years of experience managing technical teams, preferably in a data center environment
• Experience managing multiple data center sites or geographically distributed operations
• Skills & Knowledge:
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data center infrastructure, including: Servers and compute infrastructure, Storage systems, Network equipment, Rack and stack, Structured cabling, Hardware break/fix, Asset management, Hardware lifecycle management, Data center power and environmental considerations
• Experience with ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Asset Management
• Demonstrated experience managing SLAs, KPIs, operational metrics, and customer commitments
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder-management skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with enterprise customers, technology vendors, and OEM support organizations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across geographically distributed sites
• Willingness and ability to travel between customer locations within the USA

Location & Compensation

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Fort Collins, Colorado

Compensation Range: $100,000-$150,000
