Job summary

Serverfarm seeks a seasoned Data Center Operations Manager in Washington to lead our facilities team, ensuring reliable power and cooling and secure operations across our centers.

You will oversee maintenance of data center facilities, drive safety, own MEP operations, and collaborate with Construction & Project teams to meet capacity, compliance, and service goals. Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and 5+ years in DC ops required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data center operations, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to defined criteria.
• Understanding of the data center environment and related restrictions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of data center facilities.
• Provide leadership, management, and development ensuring operational commitments are met and exceeded.
• Support SFCFS teams and stakeholders with technical input to enhance credibility.
• Ensure safety of all personnel and equipment onsite.
• Own MEP operations across Serverfarm Data Center.
• Maintain all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure safely and per manufacturers' guidelines.
• Collaborate with Construction & Project teams to meet site requirements and compliance.
• Ensure all site MEP operates within defined capacity standards.
• Ensure activities align with Serverfarm policies and guidelines.
