Job summary

Switch is seeking a Network Infrastructure Technician I to support daily operation and reliability of data center network infrastructure. You will perform hands-on installation, testing, and troubleshooting of structured cabling and related hardware, following defined procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining cabling systems, building cable support structures, replacing hardware components, and documenting results in ticketing systems.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in telecom, data center operations, or IT support.
• Ability to troubleshoot layer 1 connectivity and basic hardware issues.
• Experience using ticketing systems to document work.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, and maintain copper, fiber, and coax cabling.
• Build and modify cable support systems (ladder rack, tray, J-hooks).
• Install and replace field-replaceable units (drives, memory, optics, power components).
• Perform basic hardware setup and access using terminal tools.
• Test cabling and document results; maintain design layout records.
