Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Data Center Network Service Delivery Manager to support the Texas DIR, overseeing ADC, SDC and CyrusOne nodes across Austin, Dallas and San Antonio. The role leads complex, high-availability DCN environments, including DCN Ring, LAN, firewalls, load balancers, SDN and cloud connectivity.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in data center networking, CCNP certification, and US citizenship, with strong leadership and multi-tenant networking experience.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in data center networking or equivalent leadership roles.
• 8+ years of enterprise data center networking experience.
• Strong expertise with MPLS, BGP, and OSPF routing design and operations.
• Experience with Cisco data center platforms including ASR routers and Nexus switches.
• SDN design and operations experience.
• Firewall management and network security operations experience.
• Experience managing multi-tenant environments with VRF and MPLS.
• Strong understanding of data center architecture, routing, switching, security, and connectivity.
• Proven leadership in delivering network services in complex, high-availability environments.
• CCNP (Data Center or Enterprise) certification; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability for all data center network services across ADC, SDC and CyrusOne nodes.
• Oversee a 20 Gbps DCN ring across five locations with MPLS connectivity.
• Lead LAN operations for two consolidated data centers (switches, fabric extenders, firewalls, load balancers).
• Manage CyrusOne colocation nodes in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.
• Coordinate public cloud connectivity across Azure Government, AWS Government and commercial.
• Oversee roughly 60 Gbps of cloud connectivity via Megaport.
• Manage 40–50 VRFs and provide operational oversight for routing protocols (OSPF, MPLS, MP-BGP, BFD).
• Lead SDN operations and evolution and automated firewall rule management.
• Ensure remote access infrastructure supports 500+ users with strong security.
• Maintain the LAN laboratory for pre-production testing and guide infrastructure evolution.

Peraton is hiring a Data Center Network Service Delivery Manager to support the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR). This position provides overall network service delivery leadership across the Austin Data Center (ADC), San Angelo Data Center (SDC), and CyrusOne colocation nodes in Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. The successful candidate will oversee a complex enterprise data center network environment encompassing the DCN Ring, LAN infrastructure, firewalls, load balancers, cloud connectivity, VRFs, routing, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), remote access infrastructure, firewall automation, and network laboratory operations.

Candidate must be willing to travel to both sites- Austin and San Angelo TX. and must be local to the Austin TX area or willing to relocate.
