Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in USA (Oregon, Umatilla area) seeks Network Install Technician to move and install enterprise equipment, run fiber/copper cabling, and maintain safety standards. Qualifications

• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
• 18+ months of experience in data center or similar technical roles (e.g., Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment).
• 18+ months of experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR).

Responsibilities

• Moving and implementing large enterprise equipment.
• Installing Fiber and Copper cabling and patching between equipment.
• Ensuring safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
• Following established hardware installation procedures and break‑fix activities.
• Safely using material handling tools and equipment.
• Traveling within and outside the regional work area is required.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in 24/7 environments with on-call rotation as needed.
• Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk up to 8+ hours daily.
• Ascend/descend ladders and gangways safely.
• Role may require travel to training sites before site becomes operational.
