Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking Infra Delivery Install Technicians to help transform our network infrastructure.

You will move and install large enterprise equipment, install fiber and copper cabling, and ensure rigorous safety standards across multiple data center sites. The role requires travel to active data center locations and the ability to work in 24/7 environments, with some training at alternate facilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience.
• 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment including VFL, power meter, and OTDR experience
• 1+ years of computer networking experience, or experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers

Responsibilities

• Moving and implementing large enterprise equipment
• Installing Fiber and Copper cabling and patching cabling between equipment
• Ensuring proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation
• Following well established hardware installation procedures and break‑fix activities
• Safely using material handling tools and equipment
• Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided
