Job summary

System One, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Data Center Network Engineer/Architect to design and support secure, highly available enterprise networks across data centers, offices, and cloud environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with spine-leaf, VXLAN/EVPN, BGP/OSPF, cloud networking (GCP/AWS/Azure), network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform) and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Grafana, Prometheus and Wireshark. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Must-have experience designing, building and supporting datacenter networks with spine-leaf topology, VXLAN/EVPN and Cisco Nexus.
• Strong routing knowledge (BGP/OSPF) with TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud-managed networking (SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki) and multi-cloud.
• Familiarity with network automation and IaC (Python, Ansible, Terraform) and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and support secure, resilient enterprise network architectures across data centers, offices and cloud.
• Plan for high availability, capacity and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot, optimize and perform incident response with root cause analysis.
• Implement and manage security practices, firewalls and DDoS protection.

Data Center Network Engineer / Data Center Network Architect

• Design and support secure, resilient, and highly available enterprise network architecture / network infrastructure across data centers, physical office locations, and cloud environments.

  Qualifications :

• Experience designing, building and supporting modern datacenter networks based on spine-leaf topology, VXLAN/EVPN and Cisco Nexus.

• Experience configuring, troubleshooting and tuning routing with BGP and OSPF, backed by strong knowledge of TCP/IP and enterprise networking.

• Experience designing and supporting distributed and cloud-managed network solutions, including SD-WAN, enterprise switching, wireless and Cisco Meraki.

• Experience with networking in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.

• Experience planning for high availability, resiliency, capacity and disaster recovery.

• Experience with related infrastructure and security technologies, including virtualization, containers, load balancing, firewalls, DDoS protection and enterprise security practices.

• Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Python, Ansible, Terraform or similar tools.

• Experience with monitoring, observability and network analysis tools such as SolarWinds, Grafana, Prometheus and Wireshark.

• Experience with network troubleshooting and production support, including performance analysis, incident resolution and root cause analysis.

• Cisco certification such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).
