Job summary

Axiom Path is seeking an Infrastructure Migration Engineer to join a hybrid team in Charlotte, NC. You will support a major Data Center Exit program, migrating storage, servers, and virtualization workloads across enterprise environments while coordinating with engineering, application, and business teams.

This long-term contract requires 5–7 years of relevant experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work on evenings and weekends to minimize production disruption.

Qualifications

• Approx. 5–7 years of relevant infrastructure engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure migrations.
• Experience with server, compute, virtualization, and/or storage environments.
• Understanding migration lifecycle activities: prep, testing, cutover, validation, troubleshooting, decommissioning.
• Willing to support production changes during evenings and weekends.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving in complex infra environments.
• Ability to coordinate across infrastructure, application, and business teams.
• Work within change-controlled environments to minimize production risk.
• Strong communication, documentation, and execution discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of a major enterprise Data Center Exit and infrastructure migration program.
• Migrate storage, physical servers, and virtual machines across enterprise environments.
• Assist with infrastructure builds to prepare target environments for migrations.
• Participate in migration testing, readiness validation, cutover, and post-migration verification.
• Coordinate with application owners and infrastructure teams to minimize operational disruption.
