Qualifications

• Relevant technical background to troubleshoot, analyze and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Experience or familiarity with migration execution, including testing, cutover, validation, and decommissioning processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate, reliable migration outcomes.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams including application and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Willingness to support migration activities during evenings and weekends to avoid production disruption.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions across systems, applications, or infrastructure by analyzing issues and developing practical resolutions.
• Support the Data Center Exit program by contributing engineering capacity across Storage and Compute/Virtualization workstreams.
• Assist with storage migrations, server migrations, and VM migrations, including environment build activities.
• Participate in testing, cutover execution, post-migration validation, and decommissioning activities for business continuity.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and business teams to minimize operational risk during migration activities.

As an Engineer, you will be part of the IT engineering organization supporting infrastructure and application continuity. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to execute migration work with careful attention to risk and quality.

Job Title: Data Center MigrationEngineer

Location: Charlotte, NC. Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)

Pay Range: $55/hr on w2

What's the Job?

• Provide technical solutions across systems, applications, or infrastructure by analyzing issues and developing practical resolutions.
• Support the Data Center Exit program by contributing engineering capacity across both the Storage and Compute/Virtualization workstreams.
• Assist with storage migrations, server migrations, and virtual machine migrations, including environment build activities.
• Participate in testing, cutover execution, post-migration validation, and decommissioning activities to support business continuity.
• Coordinate closely with application, infrastructure, and business teams to minimize operational risk during migration activities.
