Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Cost Engineer - MEP/Dry Mechanical to support large-scale construction projects, especially data centers and advanced manufacturing. You will review contractor change orders related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes using Procore, validate costs, and ensure pricing aligns with contracts.

The role requires strong MEP knowledge, ability to challenge pricing, and collaboration with project teams to manage budgets and risk.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience reviewing, validating, and managing construction change orders within Dry Mechanical / Plumbing (MEP) scopes.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate contractor change orders for labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and schedule impacts.
• Analyze drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals and contract documents to validate pricing and scope changes.
• Challenge contractor pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure alignment with budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and project controls to drive change order resolutions.
