Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Start-Up and Commissioning Specialist for the data center industry. You will develop start-up and commissioning plans, generate documentation, and execute for mechanical and utility systems across hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of Start-Up and Commissioning experience in the data center industry or mission-critical facilities.
• Understanding of data center mechanical systems and cooling requirements; knowledge of industry standards for mechanical commissioning.
• Willingness to travel and work at various client locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Start-Up and Commissioning Plan development and execution strategies.
• Assist with system Start-Up and Commissioning Plans for all mechanical systems.
• Assist with generating and executing Start-Up and Commissioning documents per industry best practices.
• Assist with safe startup of mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate with OEM Service technicians and construction management as needed.
• Apply HVAC, chilled water systems, and building automation knowledge to support clients.
