About The Role

As a CBRE Data Center Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. This role involves technical maintenance services in critical client environments.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company processes, procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
• Conduct building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU’s, and utilities.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
• Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures, following all safety and regulatory requirements, and conducting routine quality checks.
• Complete all required training to ensure successful job performance.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems under close supervision.

What You’ll Need

• Training in a technical discipline with an apprenticeship or equivalent; 1-2 years of related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external interactions.
• Basic work routine adherence and standards.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
• Basic math skills for calculating percentages, discounts, and markups.
