Job summary

The Archetype Strategy is seeking a General Laborer to support Division 28 low-voltage system installations in data center environments. You will assist with material handling, equipment staging, cabling, and pathway components while maintaining a clean, safe job site.

You will work under technicians and project teams, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards, with emphasis on safety, PPE, and teamwork in fast-paced construction settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous construction or general labor experience preferred.
• Experience in commercial construction or low-voltage systems is a plus but not required.
• Ability to learn Division 28 security and life safety installation practices.
• Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Division 28 technicians with the installation of electronic security and life safety systems.
• Transport, stage, and organize materials, equipment, and tools throughout the project site.
• Prepare work areas by setting up ladders, lifts, barricades, and other job site equipment.
• Assist with pulling, dressing, labeling, and securing low-voltage cabling under the direction of lead technicians.
• Install and assemble cable supports, J-hooks, sleeves, and other pathway components.
• Unpack, inventory, and organize equipment deliveries, verifying materials against packing lists.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas by removing debris and disposing of packaging materials.
• Assist with mounting equipment racks, cabinets, backboards, and hardware.
• Support installation of access control devices, CCTV cameras, intrusion detection devices, and related Division 28 equipment as directed.
