Job summary

AV Staffing Solutions is seeking experienced Low Voltage / Structured Cabling Technicians for contract opportunities in the Greater Phoenix area, including Tempe. The role is field-based with travel to customer sites, a 40-hour workweek, and competitive hourly pay.

Pay ranges from $23.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience; drivers license and reliable transportation are required to work across Tempe, Phoenix and surrounding areas. Training is provided for fiber splicing and IDF/MDF builds.

Qualifications

• At least one year of structured cabling or low-voltage installation experience.
• Strong cable pulling, dressing, and termination skills.
• Experience with copper and/or fiber-optic cabling.
• IDF/MDF build out experience is a plus.
• Fiber splicing experience is not required; training is provided.
• BICSI certification is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints and installation drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Tempe worksite.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in data center environments.

Responsibilities

• Install Cat3, Cat5e, Cat6, copper and fiber-optic cabling.
• Pull, route, dress, label, terminate, and test cabling.
• Assist with IDF/MDF build outs.
• Test and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling.
• Install outlets, grounding and fire stopping.
• Read blueprints and installation specs.
• Follow ANSI, TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC standards.
• Maintain a safe, professional work environment.
