Job summary

AMD is seeking a Data Center Lab Designer / Architect to lead technical evaluation, lab design strategy, infrastructure standards, and construction oversight for high-density data center environments. This role ensures site readiness and alignment with AMD’s 3–5 year product roadmap.

You will set global lab design direction, collaborate across IT, Facilities and Real Estate, and drive scalable, energy-efficient deployments with governance around DCIM and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale data center infrastructure design and build-outs.
• Ability to align cross-functional teams to milestones.
• Experience with high-density compute environments and lab design standards.
• Familiarity with DCIM and infrastructure monitoring systems.
• Relevant data center certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Data Center Due Diligence & Strategic Assessment: evaluate facilities, power, cooling, risk, and scalability.
• Lab Design & Global Standards Leadership: develop scalable lab designs and define global standards.
• Infrastructure Strategy & Technology Integration: define standards for power, cooling, IT space, networks, and density.
• Construction Monitoring & Deployment Governance: track progress, quality, and contractor performance.
• Stakeholder & Program Management: lead cross-functional collaboration and executive reporting.
