Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Technical Instructor to deliver hands-on and classroom training for field technicians, installers, customers, and service partners on whitespace infrastructure solutions. The role covers integrated rack systems, rack deployment, DC power, and monitoring within modern data center environments.

The instructor will develop materials, labs, and training programs, ensuring readiness for new product launches and aligning with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent; field experience accepted.
• 5+ years hands-on data center, installation, or field service experience.
• Strong understanding of modern data center infrastructure and whitespace technologies.
• Experience with server rack integration, deployment methods, and physical infrastructure.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, installation manuals, and network diagrams.
• Experience delivering technical training or knowledge transfer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct field service safety and technical classes on whitespace infrastructure technologies.
• Deliver instructor-led and virtual training on rack solutions, DC power, and monitoring systems.
• Prepare classrooms, labs, and demonstration environments.
• Deliver training to diverse audiences with varying experience levels.
• Adapt materials for virtual and hybrid learning environments.
• Develop and maintain instructor guides, student workbooks, and labs.
• Support course development through SME input and technical validation.
• Participate in New Product Development to support training readiness.
• Conduct training evaluations and identify areas for improvement.
