Job summary

Network Connex is seeking a Technician - Data Center Construction to support installation of racks, cabinets, grounding, fiber guide, and structured cabling at data centers. The role requires fieldwork, possible overtime, and travel as needed.

Candidates should have 5+ years in electronics/construction, High School/GED, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll read ISP diagrams, maintain field notes, and collaborate across teams to meet safety and timeline goals.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required with electronics/telecom background.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in data center or construction.
• Ability to read ISP diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install data center infrastructure including racks, cabinets, grounding, and ladder rack.
• Read and follow design engineers’ instructions and safety procedures.
• Prepare engineering field notes; interpret drawings and maps.
• Adhere to customer timelines and maintain project scope.
• Coordinate with project managers and technicians to ensure profitability.
• Act as a liaison to foster positive corporate initiatives and operational efficiency.
