TSMC Arizona is seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to lead operation, optimization, and automation of our high-performance data center facilities in Phoenix. This role blends hands-on infrastructure management with project-level design, overseeing new construction and existing operations.

Responsibilities include project management, data center operations, and cooling system optimization, with a focus on DLC and PUE improvements, while working with IT, engineering, and operations

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• At least three years of experience operating and maintaining mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work non-standard hours as required.

Responsabilités

• Lead or support projects for data center construction and upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT to define scope and requirements.
• Provide operational and system expertise during design reviews, equipment selection, and commissioning.
• Track progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep schedules on track.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety, quality requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Recommend improvements and lessons learned from completed projects to optimize future operations and designs.
• Regularly inspect and maintain critical systems (HVAC, UPS, generators, electrical distribution, piping, and water treatment).
• Monitor facility systems and respond promptly to abnormal conditions to maintain uptime.
• Identify and resolve system issues for reliable operation of data center infrastructure.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new equipment, tracking system performance trends.
• Lead thermal simulations and flow optimization analyses to define optimal cooling architectures.
• Oversee immersion and direct liquid cooling (DLC) implementation to achieve a PUE below 1.1.
• Oversee maintenance and diagnostics of cooling systems to ensure reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce operational costs and energy usage.
