Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Mississippi seeks a Network Install Technician to move and install enterprise equipment, install fiber and copper cabling, and maintain safety standards while supporting 24/7 operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, travel between data centers as needed, and apply your wiring and networking expertise to keep AWS infrastructure running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center operations experience.
• 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment experience (VFL, power meter, OTDR).
• Experience with copper and optical fiber cabling, switches and routers.

Responsibilities

• Moving and implementing large enterprise equipment.
• Installing Fiber and Copper cabling and patching between equipment.
• Ensuring proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation.
• Following well established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities.
• Safely using material handling tools and equipment.
• Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required.
