Munters Corporation in Daleville, VA is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer to advance two‑phase direct‑to‑chip cooling for data centers. You will design, prototype, test, and validate cooling systems while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliability and manufacturability.

The role emphasizes hands‑on development, thermodynamics knowledge, and strong documentation. A bachelor's in engineering and 5–7+ years of relevant experience are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/ HVAC/refrigeration engineering or related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, thermal management, or similar equipment design.
• Demonstrated experience designing cooling or refrigeration equipment.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and refrigeration cycles.
• Hands-on prototype development, laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop advanced HVAC, refrigeration, and two‑phase cooling equipment.
• Create engineering specs, BOMs, design docs, and prototype assemblies.
• Apply thermodynamics and heat transfer to optimize system performance.
• Build/test prototypes, analyze data, troubleshoot, and propose improvements.
• Develop test plans, document results, and support verification and validation.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, controls, sourcing, and other teams.
• Support product development from concept through manufacturing release.
• Coordinate with suppliers and external partners to resolve technical challenges.
