Job summary

Munters Corporation in Daleville, VA is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer to join the R&D team and drive the design of next‑generation cooling solutions for data centers and AI hardware. You will develop two‑phase direct‑to‑chip cooling systems, run prototype tests, and refine designs for production release.

The role requires 5–7+ years in HVAC or refrigeration design, strong thermodynamics and fluid mechanics knowledge, and hands‑on testing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or thermal management design.
• Experience designing cooling or refrigeration equipment.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• Hands-on prototype development, testing, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced HVAC, refrigeration, and two-phase cooling equipment.
• Create specifications, BOMs, design docs, and prototypes.
• Apply thermodynamics and heat transfer to optimize system performance.
• Build and test prototypes, analyze results, troubleshoot, and iterate designs.
• Support design verification and product validation and collaborate cross-functionally.
