Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Center Mech Svc Tech Journeyman to support HVAC service for commercial and data center environments in Franklin, TN. The role involves troubleshooting, installation, repair, and customer-facing quotes, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting in data center or petrochemical environments.
• Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, ammonia/hydrocarbon systems.
• Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
• Universal EPA refrigerants license and active state/local licensing.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, repair and replacement on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform service calls for customers.
• Provide quotes to customers and support sales quoting.
• Coordinate with local mechanics and apprentices; on‑the‑job training when needed.
• Document issues, causes and corrective actions clearly for customers.
