Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced HVAC journeyman to service commercial and industrial systems. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, system installation, and preventive maintenance across a variety of equipment in customer facilities.

You will travel up to 50-75% of the time as part of the HVAC Data Center Travel Team, bringing safety and quality to hospitals, data centers, and manufacturing environments. A Universal EPA license and UA participation are required.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced HVAC mechanic with strong troubleshooting and field service skills.
• Possess a Universal EPA refrigerant license and be open to travel as needed.
• Expect participation in the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices and alignment with UA programs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair advanced commercial HVAC systems including chillers, pumps, and rooftop units.
• Perform system installations and ongoing preventive maintenance.
• Explain issues and solutions clearly to customers and teammates.
• Collaborate with a team, mentor apprentices, and grow technical expertise.
