Job summary

Envirotrol in Clarksville, TN is hiring a Data Center HVAC Service Technician to service and repair DX equipment, water-cooled units and data center infrastructure. The role requires extensive experience with commercial HVAC systems, on-call weekend rotations, and strict safety practices.

The successful candidate will diagnose malfunctions, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure equipment operates at peak performance on customer sites in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

• High School or Trade School Graduate or GED.
• Holds a Universal Refrigerant Card (Type I or Universal).
• At least 10 years of commercial experience.
• Must maintain regular attendance as determined by management.
• Flexible working schedule including weekend on-call rotation for emergency service.
• Appearance must be clean and neat at all times.
• Truck and all equipment must be clean at all times.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations, including courteous and defensive driving.
• Responsible for maintaining company tools per policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair DX equipment up to 100 tons.
• Service packaged, water-cooled AC units up to 150 tons.
• Maintain water source heat pumps and related equipment.
• Service data center type units with self-contained humidifiers and controls.
• Repair gas-fired and electric heating systems up to 150 tons.
• Work with DDC control systems (pneumatic, electronic, modular).
• Inspect and optimize air handling equipment and VAV systems.
• Start systems, monitor operation, adjust valves/pumps for proper conditions.
• Perform site start-ups for new equipment and routine preventative maintenance.
• Document status with dispatcher and after-call communication.
