Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Michigan City, IN is seeking an HVAC technician to inspect, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, and pumps. Travel 0-25% as needed.

You will perform PMs, read drawings, and respond to outages, with on-call duties and ability to work nights/weekends. EPA 608 certification required; 2+ years experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• EPA Section 608 Certification is required.
• 2+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with BMS/BAS systems for monitoring and control.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and on-call duty.

• Perform preventive maintenance per schedule to ensure reliable system performance.
• Replace filters and other mechanical components as needed.
• Respond quickly to mechanical equipment failures or temperature excursions to protect IT assets.
• Escalate critical events to management and assist in root cause analysis after incidents.
