Munters Corporation in Daleville, VA is seeking a Project Engineer to design and deliver custom air handler solutions for data centers and commercial clients. The role emphasizes collaboration with production and engineering teams to support testing, validation, and cost reduction initiatives.

You will review job specs, select components, generate drawings, and interface with vendors and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery of projects while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or B.S.E.T in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
• Experience with selection of components used in HVAC applications using computer programs.
• Practical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems preferred; but not required.
• Previous experience with product testing, troubleshooting, and HVAC control strategies.
• Ability to generate drawings with AutoCAD or similar programs.
• Knowledge of safety standards

Responsibilities

• Develops custom air handler solutions by reviewing detailed job specifications, selecting components, generating mechanical drawings, and creating bills of material.
• Support production processes to eliminate questions, concerns, and/or roadblocks during manufacture.
• Supports new product development with conceptual designs, layouts, and bills of materials as needed.
• Supports continuous improvement and cost reduction activities through improved product design / design for manufacturing (DFM).
• Assists with production and/or customer testing of completed systems.
• Commercializes new control solutions such as sensors, actuators, VFDs, and networking.
