Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Data Center Hardware Remediation Technician to join our team in South Jordan, UT. You will perform physical hardware remediation, configure server remote management interfaces, and handle priority-based tickets in a non-remote, on-site data center environment.

The role requires experience with data center hardware, ticketing systems, and strong English communication. Some evenings, weekends, or on-call duties may apply. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with remote console/server management technologies (BMC/iLo/iDrac/Cyclades).
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians and vendors.
• Experience with hardware from multiple vendors.
• Experience using ticketing systems (Remedy, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Working in a large data center environment.
• Knowledge of RAID controllers/configuration is a plus.
• High level of written and oral English fluency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Punctual and reliable with good organizational/time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical hardware remediation (Break/Fix).
• Provide hardware upgrade support.
• Verify issues are fixed after on-site resolution.
• Configure server remote management interfaces (iLo/BMC/Drac) as needed.
• Handle tickets from a queue based on priority to resolve server issues.
• May require evenings, weekends or on-call after hours.
• Utilize ticket management system effectively.
• Report to a data center location; not a remote support role.
