EOS IT Solutions is looking for a Data Center Repair Technician to join their infrastructure team in Alabama. This role includes hands-on repairs and maintenance of data center hardware like servers and switches, along with local travel to various sites.

Qualified candidates will have a technical diploma in electronics or IT hardware, alongside skills in organizing and managing tasks. The position offers health benefits, paid time off, and a competitive pay range from $26.45 to $31.25 hourly.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in electronics, computer hardware, or a related field.
• Proven track record of repairing and maintaining IT and network hardware in a data center environment.
• Familiarity with hardware from Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and x86 servers is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on repairs and replacements of hardware components.
• Manage lifecycle of hardware components from installation to recycling.
• Conduct physical inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Oversee inventory management of spare parts.
• Collaborate with technical teams for hardware replacements.
• Document repair activities and maintain accurate records.
• Execute basic physical layer troubleshooting.
• Support new hardware installations.
• Participate in emergency response for urgent issues.
