Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a Data Center Repair Technician to join our infrastructure engineering team. You will perform hands-on repair and maintenance of data center hardware, including servers, switches, routers, and related components across multiple sites.

This role requires travel to local data centers, a technical diploma or certification in electronics or hardware, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The position supports 24/7/365 operations with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

Technical diploma or certification in electronics or hardware.
Proven track record repairing IT and network hardware in data centers.
Familiar with Cisco, Juniper, Arista hardware; x86 servers preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to travel locally to multiple sites; 24/7/365 shifts.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on repairs and replacement of defective hardware components in data center equipment.
Manage lifecycle of hardware: installation, troubleshooting, decommissioning, recycling.
Conduct physical inspections and routine maintenance for reliability.
Oversee inventory management of spare parts for repairs and upgrades.
Coordinate with teams to minimize downtime during hardware failures.
Document repair activities and update system configurations as needed.
Execute basic physical layer troubleshooting, including cable tests.
Support new hardware installations and physical setup of network/server infra.
Participate in emergency response for urgent hardware issues.
