Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Hardware Reliability Engineer to drive reliability for datacenter infrastructure and security equipment such as air handling units, LV generators, liquid cooling, power gen, and chillers.

You will lead risk identification and mitigation, and coordinate with vendors to ensure robust product specifications. The role requires expertise in physics-of-failure, thermal/electrical/chemical stresses, and system-level reliability modeling, with travel within the US and

Qualifications

2+ years of root cause analysis or troubleshooting experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Reliability Engineering, Physics, Mechanical or Materials Engineering or related field.
4+ years of Reliability Engineering work experience in high reliability industry.
2+ years experience with accelerated life testing, stress analysis and finite element analysis.

Responsibilities

Drive reliability risk identification, assessment and mitigation for datacenter infrastructure.
Lead root cause analysis of critical equipment failures and drive improvements.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal partners on risk plans and specifications.
Develop datacenter system-level reliability models and analyses.
