Job summary

Apple’s Data Center Operations team is seeking a Critical Facilities Operations Center Operator to monitor critical infrastructure and respond to alarms. You will own all activities in critical spaces, lead incident management, and uphold maintenance standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong situational awareness, clear communication, and the ability to work 12-hour day or graveyard shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with EPMS, BMS and/or FLS controls systems.
• 2+ years in critical facilities, data center environments, or military/industrial ratings.
• Experience with maintenance management tools such as CMMS.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems.
• Physical ability to perform tasks up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and follow OSHA cycles.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including day/night, with possible overtime.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all controls and monitoring systems including EPMS/BMS/FLS and related networks.
• Identify events and lead incident management, following escalation policies.
• Maintain logs and reports with accuracy and compliance to standards.
• Perform daily rounds, verify health of building systems, and use data-driven analysis.
• Manage FOC communications and disseminate information to stakeholders.
• Process change requests, open tickets, and update maintenance work orders.
• Provide updates in turnover meetings and ensure FOC staffing at all times.
• Collaborate with facilities peers, management, and external vendors; document changes.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors and evaluate performance; escalate when needed.
