Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineer I to join the Data Center Financial Analytics team. You will help manage the data center financial operations, cost drivers, and capacity planning for our rapidly scaling infrastructure, enabling efficient service delivery and informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in finance or analytics, strong Excel modeling, data warehousing and modeling experience, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with engineering, sourcing, and finance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field.
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Math, and Computer Science).
• Minimum 5 years of finance/business analysis experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, and partner cross-functionally.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Strong excel modeling and powerpoint skills.
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable in data center financial operations including cost drivers, pertinent technology, vendors, customers served, and regional nuances.
• Establish annual/monthly performance targets, analyze budget-to-actual variance, and communicate key messages to leadership.
• Experience working with data warehousing and data modeling.
• Identify and lead cost savings initiatives.
• Support the month-end financial close reporting for data center engineering.
• Develop and refine complex driver-based financial models leveraging KPIs.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
• Pinpoint defects or waste in processes, and drive new processes and automation to eliminate the defects and prevent them from recurring.
