Job summary

Hanley Energy USA is seeking a Data Center Field Technician to join a fast-growing, dynamic team. You will work onsite at customer facilities to install and maintain energy management systems, as well as switchgear, UPS, electrical and power generation equipment, and troubleshoot field issues.

This role requires 2+ years in electrical and/or mechanical work, data center or critical environment experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Technical training or relevant experience in a data center or critical environment.
• 2+ years of electrical and/or mechanical work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid leadership and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail with high energy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failure
• Perform limited maintenance tasks
• Troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal SLA
• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
• Take operational readings of equipment
• Utilize CMMS to manage building workflows
• Meet with customers to identify data center building needs and gather requirements
• Administrative work including data entry in Excel and writing work orders
• Maintain power and cooling of facility and ensure clean rooms for critical environment.
