Job summary

Hanley Energy is seeking a Data Center Field Technician to support South-East Regional operations from Shreveport, Louisiana. The role involves on-site installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Energy Management Systems, switchgear, UPS, and related power equipment in mission-critical data centers.

You will meet with customers, gather requirements, perform start-up and commissioning, and maintain uptime while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Data Center or critical environment.
• 2+ years of electrical and/or mechanical work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid leadership and organizational abilities.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis of electrical equipment failure
• Perform start-up and commissioning of control system panels
• Troubleshooting of facility electrical and rack-level events within SLA
• Ensure safety procedures are followed while performing work
• Take operational readings of equipment
• Utilize CMMS to manage building workflows
• Meet with customers to identify data center needs and gather requirements
• Administrative work including data entry in Excel and work orders
• Maintain power and cooling of facility and clean rooms for critical environment
