Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical facility equipment across multiple data centers. You will perform PMs, participate in incident response, and support scalable, reliable infrastructure with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires travel between sites, ability to work long shifts, and collaboration with contractors and vendors within established practices and local regulations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in relevant work.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
