Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to support mission‑critical facilities and maintain 3‑phase electrical systems, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling equipment across data center locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot events, and assist with change management in a fast-paced AWS environment.

Role requires willingness to travel between centers, work up to 12‑hour shifts, and adapt to site needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience
• High school or equivalent diploma

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
• Assist in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal SLA
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Monitoring daily work requests and managing to resolution and executing projects from conception to completion
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors ensuring work follows procedures and local regulation
