Qualifications

• 2+ years of fiber optic splicing experience with demonstrated proficiency in fusion splicing.
• Experience with ribbon fiber, mass fusion splicing, and high-count fiber cables preferred.
• Ability to interpret OTDR results and troubleshoot fiber loss issues.

Responsibilities

• Terminate, splice, and certify single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cabling.
• Prepare fiber optic cables for splicing and protective sleeve installation.
• Perform high-volume fusion splicing of loose tube, ribbon, and armored cables.
• Test and certify fiber systems using OTDRs, power meters, VFLs, and certification equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and data center operations teams.
