Job summary

Archetype Infrastructure Solutions is hiring a Data Center Splicer to install, splice, terminate, test, and document fiber optic cabling in mission-critical data center environments. The role emphasizes detail orientation, safety, and high-availability work practices within fast-paced settings.

The candidate should have 2+ years of fiber optic splicing experience, familiarity with fusion splicing and OTDR testing, and the ability to read construction drawings.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret construction drawings, splice diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and be flexible with hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform fusion splicing, ribbon splicing, and termination of single-mode and multimode fiber optic cables.
• Install, route, dress, and secure fiber optic cabling per specifications and industry standards.
• Test fiber optic systems using OTDRs, power meters, light sources, and other equipment.
• Label, document, and maintain records of fiber routes, splice results, and test reports.
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged fiber optic systems and ensure quality standards.
