Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Data Center Cable Technician for a contract-to-hire role based in Phoenix, AZ. You will install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling in commercial, industrial, and data center environments, with emphasis on fiber expertise and adherence to safety and documentation standards.

The position is fully onsite in Phoenix with a pay range of $25.00-$28.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits framework where eligible. Application deadline is July 13, 2026.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on fiber expertise.
• Ability to work independently.
• Adherence to industry standards, safety practices and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling in data center environments.
• Perform fiber termination using mechanical, fusion splice, and pre-terminated solutions.
• Install and dress fiber enclosures, splice trays, patch panels, cassettes, and LIUs.
• Build out and cable equipment racks, cabinets, ladder racks, and pathway systems.
• Maintain proper bend radius, cable management, and grounding standards.
