Job summary

HYVE Solutions is seeking a highly analytical Failure Analysis Engineer to investigate hardware failures across server platforms and data center products. You will perform root-cause analysis and guide corrective actions throughout the product lifecycle, collaborating with multiple teams to improve reliability and yield.

The role requires hands-on teardown, lab testing, and data-driven problem solving, with strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in failure analysis, hardware validation, quality/reliability/manufacturing engineering.
• Experience supporting enterprise servers, rack systems, storage, networking, or data center infra.

Responsibilities

• Perform failure isolation at component, subsystem, and rack level and conduct root cause analysis.
• Investigate failures from manufacturing, testing, customer returns, and field deployments.
• Analyze electrical, mechanical, thermal, and firmware-related failures using structured troubleshooting methods.
• Develop and publish detailed failure analysis reports with findings and corrective actions.
• Lead RCA activities using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, FTA and FMEA.
• Support reliability qualification testing (HALT/HASS) and environmental tests.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, Supplier Quality, Test Engineering and Operations to implement CAPA.
• Identify failure trends and recommend design or process improvements.
