Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers is seeking a Facilities Technician in Chicago to support daily operations and site cleanliness. You will handle front-office tasks, assist with material movements, and maintain data-center areas to ensure client readiness.

The role requires 6+ months of facility maintenance or custodian experience, basic IT/tablet skills, and a willingness to work flexible hours including nights or weekends for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Basic MS Office, tablets, and data entry skills required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail in daily tasks.
• Experience with hand and machine tools helpful.
• Forklift operation training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintains daily facility cleanliness across data center, offices, and restrooms.
• Assists with front-of-house requests: furniture moves, material handling, lighting, and upkeep.
• Maintains client cages and removes debris on data floors.
• Prepares condition reports and recommends corrective actions.
• Orders, tracks, and restocks facility consumables to sustain operations.
• Moves heavy items using cart, pallet jack, or forklift.
• Performs project work and supports safety procedures.
• Documents daily tasks and reports findings.
