Job summary

Salute is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician (Level 1 & 2) to provide data center support on-site in a rapidly growing environment. The role involves monitoring, maintenance, and rapid response to outages across HVAC, electrical, and building systems.

Relocation assistance is available for this on-site position. The compensation reflects a competitive hourly rate with strong benefits and 401(k) matching. Excellent communication with clients and vendors is expected.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in operation, installation and maintenance of data center critical equipment.
• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years in electrical systems, refrigeration or HVAC.
• Knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical systems, including Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS, PDU/PMM, Chillers, AHUs, CRAC units.
• Good observation and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
• Perform planned and ad‑hoc preventive maintenance across trades.
• Inspect building systems (HVAC, electrical distribution) and maintain clean, safe equipment rooms.
• Respond to indoor emergencies and air quality concerns.
• Create, close, and track work requests (WR); initiate and verify completion.
• Monitor service contractors and recommend changes as needed.
• Support delivery of data center services (colocation, connectivity) and deployments.
• Act as operational contact for data center customers, vendors, and carriers.
