Job summary

Salute seeks a Critical Facilities Technician (Level 1) to provide data center white space support, monitor and respond to facility conditions, and perform maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and network systems. This on-site role is based in Ellendale, ND with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

0–2 years of related experience in operation, installation, and maintenance of data center critical equipment.
High school diploma or GED with two+ years’ experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment ( feeders, transformers, generators, UPS, ATS/STS, PDU/PMM, chillers, AHU, CRAC).
Good observation and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
Complete planned and ad-hoc preventive maintenance work assignments.
Conduct periodic inspections of building systems (HVAC, electrical distribution) and maintain clean, safe equipment rooms.
Respond to indoor emergencies and manage air quality issues.
Create, close, track work requests and manage work orders.
